1. Overview

The online learning system has been developed to provide easy access to Ace Care Training Courses. The material has been broken down into categories for ease of searching. Some of the on-line materials can include interactive resources such as; quizzes, video, and on-line forms dependent on the course you are accessing.

How to Login

You will have been sent an email with your login and password from the Ace Care online learning system. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain your login and password. Loggin In

How to access Ace Care Training Courses

Once you have logged in a menu is provided with options to My Account, My Courses, Shop for Courses, Contact Us, What's New and Help. The courses available to you can be found in the My Courses option.

2. Using Your Course Workspace

When you have selected My Courses you are presented with a screen that has the following information:

Click on + to see the course modules. Click on the + in a module to show the options. My Courses

Options are provided for each module:

Take Course opens the training materials and test.
A quick view of your progress is shown in the green bar, this shows a percentage of how much has been covered and what is still to go.
Give Feedback allows you to provide us with your feedback.

3. Navigating the Course Materials

You may view the course content by clicking the forward and back buttons at the bottom of the screen. Click the Exit button to return to the My Courses page. Navigating the Course Material

4. My Course History

As well as being able to see your progress via the workspace progress bar, a full analysis is available in the My Course History area. Details available are:

Course - the name of the course purchased.
Purchase Date - the date when the course was purchased.
Expiry Date - the date the course expires.
Renewal Period - the date you are required to re-certify.
Total Time - the total time spent on the particular module.
Score - the assessment score for the course if attempted.
Progress - the percentage of the course completed.

5. Computer Skills

You will need basic computing skills to use these online materials such as using a mouse, resizing and closing a window, and navigating/moving from page to page. If you cannot do these tasks, ask someone to show you how - like everything else it is easy when you know how.

6. Technical Specification/Computer Requirements

If you are accessing the system from home to view the materials, your computer/computer network will need to have the items listed below as a minimum. If you are using a computer with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP or Vista then these are usually standard.

This information sheet contains most of the information you need to know. However, if you come across something that you are not too sure about then please ask a member of your organisation's Training department staff if they can help you.

9. FAQ's

I am having trouble remembering my password – can I change it?

Yes you can, if you go to My Account you have the option to change your password to one that you will remember.

I need to change my email or contact details, how do I do this?

Once you are logged in, you will be able to change your details in My Account.

What is a Discount Voucher?

From time to time Ace Care will offer promotions for on line courses. Vouchers are issued with a unique code – which will offer a discount on a course. This code must be entered before completing payments.

What is a Client Code?

Ace Care supply on line training courses to corporate clients. These clients are provided with a code that will enable the clients candidates or staff to take on line training without having to pay via PayPal. Ace Care invoices the corporate clients directly.

I purchased a course on line but I cannot find it, what do I do?

Make sure you are logged in, and then go to “My Courses” in your account – all purchased courses can be found there.

How do I get a paper copy of my certificate?

Once you have passed an online test you will be able to print your certificate from your own printer. If you do not have access to a printer you can select SEND ME A PRINTED CERTIFICATE and for a small administration fee your printed certificate will be posted to your registered address within 2 working days of purchase.

Where will my certificate be posted too if I have ordered a paper copy?

You paper copy certificate will be posted to the address you provided in your account.

I want to download an electronic copy of my certificate but I cannot do this, why?

If you are using a purchase code you certificate will be emailed directly to your employer or agency as they are the bill payer. Please contact your employer regarding this.

I want to get a paper copy of my certificate but I cannot order one, why?

If you are using a purchase code you will not be to obtain a printed certificate, please contact your employer as the certificate will be sent to bill payer.

What is P&P?

P&P stands for Postage & Packing. This only applies if you have ordered a paper copy of your certificate.

There are 2 rates for P&P – one for the United Kingdom and one for the rest of the world.

When I have purchased a course, how long to do I have to complete the training?

Once you have purchased the course either by Paypal or Client Code, you have 30 days to take the test. You will be able to study the training pack at your own pace and your progress will be saved in your account if you wish to take a break.

You will be sent a reminder email if you haven’t taken the test within 23 days to prevent your course from expiring.

How many chances do I get to take the test and pass?

To pass an Ace Care training course, you must meet a set standard. The tests record this standard and can be taken as often as you wish, as long as this in within the 30 days from the date of purchase. If you did not pass the course, we recommend that you work through the training pack again before retaking the test.

I do not have the time to take the training and the test in one go – can I come back to it?

Yes you can do as much or a little of the training at any time – as long as this is completed within 30 days of purchase. If you login and go to My Courses – you can find the course and take the test when you are ready to do so.

How long is my certificate valid for?

All certificates are valid for one year from the pass date. Before your certificate expiries we will email you a reminder to the email address you provide when registering.

What does "give feedback" mean?

This is an opportunity for you to tell Ace Care what you thought of your training experience. Any feedback will be greatly received and we will use it to improve our courses and services in the future.
